Solomon fights to keep our schools strong, our communities safe, and our reproductive freedoms protected.
Public Education
“I am committed to ensuring our public schools thrive.”
Georgia Republicans want segregated schools through a systematic process called “school vouchers.” Private schools that receive these voucher funds would not have to be fully accredited, and teachers in these schools would not have to have a bachelor’s degree.
Reproductive Freedom & Maternal Mortality
“Politicians aren’t qualified to weigh in on women’s personal medical decisions, and they shouldn’t be able to restrict women from accessing care.”
We should all be free to make decisions about our bodies, lives, and futures—and 8 in 10 Americans agree. The Georgia Department of Public Health’s Maternal Mortality Report found 30.2 pregnancy-related deaths per 100,000 live births.
Public Safety
“Building trust between our communities and first responders keeps our neighborhoods safe.”
I am committed to making our neighborhoods safer by building trust between communities and first responders. I support legislation that secures the resources to fund mental health specialists and the tools and training that law enforcement needs to fight crime.
Passing common-sense gun safety laws, such as mandatory three-day waiting periods, safe storage, and universal background checks, will keep our communities safe.
Health Care
Without access to quality healthcare, the foundation of our lives—our families, our friends, our schools, and our communities—cannot thrive.”
Georgia has among the nation’s strictest Medicaid eligibility requirements. However, it is one of 10 states that have not expanded the program to all low-income adults under the Affordable Care Act.
I continue to fight to ensure that all Georgians have access to health care.
